Here is an original condition 1950's, possibly 60's Otto Link "Double Ring" era baritone mouthpiece with serial. This piece is stamped 5* with F62 on the opposite side and measures .100" on my gauge.
We are all probably more familiar with the tenor and alto versions of this legendary mouthpiece but the baritone design is equally revolutionary in the world of metal mouthpiece design. Before the "Super" Tone Master (STM), chambers tended to be very large with equally long facing curves. In other words not quite modern. The STM was a huge leap forward in ease of projection and focus.
This particular example is really clean and has been in storage for decades along with some other very desirable pieces. There is no damage at all too the table, rails or tip. There is some wear to the plating as shown in the photos. If you are looking for a clean original example of this design, look no further. Play it as is, or open it for a more modern tip size and configuration. Think Charles Davis in terms of voice.
