Here is an original condition vintage production Meyer 6 Medium chamber Medium facing alto piece. This mouthpiece measures .078" on my gauge.
Since the beginning of their business in the 1940's, the Meyer brothers have been producing the most sought after alto mouthpieces ever made. While the company had since been bought out by JJ Babbitt in the 1970's the actual design of these hasn't changed terribly much since the 1960's.
These pieces produced in Elkhart during this period features a sharper beak angle, quality rubber and very even finish work. Of course it has a few fleabite nicks on the side rails but otherwise in fantastic condition for a 25+ year old mouthpiece.
